Internship in Portugal

We can offer you the opportunity to take advantage of unpaid practical training at ourcentre to develop and build on your skills in the Academic Art of Riding. Ideally, the placement would be for a minimum of six weeks. 

 During your stay you will be paired with your own school horse, with which you will be given instruction three times a week and work independently twice a week. You can also benefit from observing the daily work with the other horses. As there are only six horses, the amount of stable work that needs doing is manageable (feeding, mucking out, cleaning, sweeping, and minor repairs to fencing and the stable area). Accommodation and instruction are free of charge but catering is not included and you will need to organise this yourself.

Over the six week period, trainees will receive 3 units of instruction every week. You will have a bicycle at your disposal and enough time to explore the local surroundings and discover the nearby beaches.
